Default Weight reduction.... Carbon Fiber, Fiber Glass, or option C?

I'm trying to lighten the load on my car. I'm looking at multiple pieces of carbon fiber at the moment.

That leaves 2 questions.. which is lighter.. carbon fiber, ? and is there a good shop for body panels? I can't seem to locate more then carbon fiber door, hood, and the hotwheels body kit which doesn't appeal.

Also anyone know how much the factory 17 inch bullit aluminum rims + pirellis weigh? Also asome kind of databaseof bothfactory and aftermarkettire/rim weights?

Additionally I was looking at Steedaflywheels however I have a v6 and it says GT only... what is different between v6 and gt? I've had this problem a few times now any shops out there that might specialize in sixers?

You have options if you wanna lighten the load --

Carbon Fiber Hood - Carbon Fiber Trunk - Carbon Fiber Doors - Carbon Fiber Rims (saw them at SEMA/ weight was around 13-15 pounds) - Rear Seat Delete - 1 Piece Light Weight Aluminum Drive Shaft - Light Weight Aluminum Flywheel - Steeda Speed lap Seats/ Race seats (really light - Talk to Red_Devil about these) - Drain your washer fluid - and if you're up for it put in a Plexiglass front and rear window [8D]

You can pretty much get anything you want in Carbon Fiber -- the real question is how much do you wanna spend as Carbon Fiber isn't cheap

And unless you want to die in a side collision with those carbon fiber doors, i would recommend a roll cage

Thats a good point -- they're light & will shed over 250 pounds but I think that they were meant more for race applications

Thanks for all the info so far. PS Was looking around however am having a hard time finding all this carbonfiber. As I mentioned Only saw hood and doors in carbon fiber. There was a picture of a trunk however there was no "buy now" button.

Also anyone here know how much fiber glass and aluminum compares against carbon fiber?

As you can probably see from my signature I already replaced a few panels with fiber glass. I am gearing different reviews some are saying that it's a lot heavier and some are saying it's the 2nd best material in terms of weight.

What about polyurethane?

Again thanks all.
