How many quarts of oil for 06 4.8L V8 GT
Can anyone please tell me the number of quarts recommended for an oil change on a 2006 GT - 4.8L V8? I am going to buy Mobil 1 Synthetic 5W-20 tomorrow and can't locate my manual. Thanks for your help.

6 quarts but have an extra on-hand to top it off, just in case. On occasion (usually depending on how long I let it drain and/or from using a filter with a tad more capacity) I have to add maybe 1/4 quart or so.

I use 6.5 to fill to the tip top of the fill mark, and i let it drain for a long time.
Check walmart for the 5qt jugs. Its the price of buying 4qt's and getting one free
