Default RE: Headers available for 05 V6!!!!

While we're on the topic of headers, I have a question... I posted it in a different forum, but haven't really received any replies on it yet.

Headers were one of the first things I had planned to replace on my V6 'vert.

I was going to go with the JBA when they became available, and then considered the MAC...

But then I popped my hood and looked at the stock headers. Now I'm not saying they appear to be finely tuned race headers or anything like that, but for stock they look really good. (ie, they don't all just dump out into a connected space, they actually have their own individual tubes for a good 6-12 inches until they meet at the same collector)

Do you think it's actually worth the money to replace the headers, at least while there are only two manufactures of headers available, and the price is still at a premium?

Just looking for opinions.

you are totally right, the the jba headers are really overpriced and the mac seem to be resonable. ive been trying to get a response from them and cant seem to do that. if the gains in hp are good then get them but at the smae time its probably a good idea to wait and see what comes available next

I am going to wait a while on the headers... I am getting ready to replace the muffler and CAI, plus a SCT tunner with custom tunes on Tuesday. From what I hear, the headers are pretty good for factory.

I know no one for a long time made shorty headers that could out-flow stock manifolds on the 92&93 Dodge Trucks.
