Need some help. FL Members.
Anyone near or around Port Saint Lucie FL, Treasure Coast and has a stock airbox sitting around and could let me borrow it. Moved to FL but left my Stock Airbox in New Jersey and dealer won't touch my car to diagnoise a problem due to the aftermarket CAI.
Thanks! PM with info.

I still have mine also, I am in Fort Myers. A bit of a drive, but if you want to borrow it let me know.
Also, you might want to see if this one is still available, might be cheaper than the gas you will burn. Just a thought.

Well, my issue is I've been having "pinging" like sounds for what seems like forever. I thought it was a couple things, the transmission plate, heat shields, etc. Took it to the dealer and they are convinced that it is engine pinging. Brenspeed sent me a tune that has less timing than stock, while I'm still running 93 octane, but still no success.
The dealer won't touch it. They are completely fixated on the issue being my tune and cai. They even said that when they hook my car up to their system, that the system doesn't even recognize it because of my 'chip' and that it may act like a Ranger. I didn't understand that at all. Plus, they said since I've been running 93 octane it could be building carbon (also, don't get) and that I could be hearing "carbon ping"
So the only thing I can do is return it to stock and see if it's still making the noise, and then take it to the dealer... which they will still probably hassle me.

Agreed, try a different dealer. It might be worth the drive. And then I'd start by never going back to that original dealership...Or being where you are, I'm sure you're close to a performance shop. Heck I'm in Jacksonville and I know of at least three here.
