RE: Went to "The Ring" Today
Johnboy: I'm planning a trip to Germany and other nearby countries in May, I'll be going by myself to check out the car stuffs such as the ring, try out the autobahn, visit the MBZ, BMW, VW...museums... Can you give me some pointers? And maybe I can pick up some parts here for you if you like?

RE: Went to "The Ring" Today
Well I will be back in the states in April Paul thanks for the offer. I havent yet made the trip to the mercedes or BMW factory yet that was my next trip until the RUF guy came into the picture. I will be sure to let you know how it was and I think the mercedes museum is closeby so I might go there as well. I dont know if you like history a lot but I am planning a trip to Normandy in France in a few weeks as well. Its not the normal France where they are A$$holes to us Americans. The people from Normandy still have utmost respect for us and are very courteous. I have also made the trip to Luxembourg to see General Pattons gravesite which is close to me as well. There is also a track called Hockenheim in which I believe they do some F1 races and some superbike races. If you can stand the French for a day there is also one of the best tracks in the world called Le Mans, its a little drive outside Paris which is about 4 1/2 to 5 hours from myself. I would say start googling different things, its all about what appeals to you. I would also consider a trip to Austria its by far the most beautiful place I have seen since I have been here. I would have been more places but being in Iraq for 13 months kind of put a dent in a lot of plans I have had, if you have any more questions I would be glad to help.

Well I live right near Rammstein and it took me less than 2 hours to go to Nurburgring. There is far more to do near Kaiserslautern than way up near Spangdalem.

Yup wish I had those yesterday as well, the stock ones suck but I also look at how often I would go somewhere like that. How much were those by the way?
