Don't launch at 2500....I'm launching a little less than that on DR's. Just let the clutch grab, and then baby it through first, once second comes, hold on. Don't drive through the water box either, unless you're on a special type of tire. Spinning street tires really won't help much, so it's best to just keep them as dry as possible.

Your reaction time has nothing to do with your ET.

You can strip the car as stated above...but would you drive it that way? I usually run a full interior and even keep the jack/tire in the car. That's the way I drive it, so I might as well see how it runs that way.

hey hawgman, where do you live? I live in corsicana and I hope to go back pretty soon. We should meet up there sometime.
I am kinda on the other end from you. East of Plano. Meeting at the track is certainly not out of the question. Finding the time might be[:'(]. I will be there for the all Harley drags.

btw hawg, with that intake you have did you do a re-flash?
Waiting on the X-Cal to get here. Also the guy that is going to work the tune with me has been in Bristol all week playing NASCAR. He is supposed to be back on the 6th. Once he gets back and has the time to sit down and work on some tweaks with the tune, it will be done. As it sits, I just ignore the CEL.

What's granny shifting and double clutching? Kick the clutch to the side?

granny shifting is how you should shift. Double clutching is shifting into neutral before every shift. You had to do that with non syncronised transmissions. This isn't the 70's. And for kicking the clutch to the side he basicly means hit the clutch with your foot and shift quick.

You dont really need to double-clutch in a new car...
it only REALLY matters in an older car.
