Tell them Eff that you want a new hood.

Depends on the dealership and if they consider you a valued customer or a snot-nosed kid...

Default RE: Rental car for TSB repair?

not a recall repair, but a warranty repair

i had to shell out $13 a day for 12 days for a freaking courtesy car from the dealership while my car was getting a new tranny under warranty

bastards would pay a cent , saying only head office would pay for it, and head office flat out said no after numerous calls and complaints.

however, my car was in the shop for 20 days and this time they got me a rental car from Enterprise. A surprise suprise, Ford covered the cost. I just got my car back today, Enterprise billed Ford $700+ tax lol

Some vindication for me at least.

But yea, dont expect any after sales service from Ford.
They sell you the car, then screw you every chance they get.

$13 a day is not bad! I just paid $40 a day from the Enterprise at the dealer for a Ford Focus. I was told by Ford (the 1-800-FORD number) that I was not covered for a rental.

How did you finally get Enterprise/Ford to pay?

Thanks!

I lucked out and got a good service advisor who managed to convince head office to cover it.
My parts were either wrong or delayed a total of 5 times.
What should have been a3 day repair dragged out to 20.

But if the situation had been different and they told me that i had to pay, i would have just bussed / walked/ cabbed it

Good luck with your fight !
