Default RE: BOOMTUBES~~~~!!!

anyone having issues getting tips aligned in cutouts? I've heard a few people had to bend hangers and/or brackets for proper fit.... would like to hear from both camps (those who did and didn't have to do any bracket or hanger bending).
..... I ask because these are on my list for next mod... love my Flowmaster ATs, but need more volume. Thx
I had to adjust the hangers on the passenger side to get it to align properly. It was hanging lower than the driver side pipe. I was able to make the adjustment by bending the hangers by hand. Don't let this stop you from getting Boomtubes, if you have basic mechanical skills, this only take a few minutes.

No matter which exhaust you go with, i'm sure you'll have to do some sort of adjustment to get them to fit perfectly into the cut-outs.

Glad to see you got yours in too! Let us know how much you love them!
Well since you asked here is a sound clip I made with my digital still camera in movie mode, not the best but will do for now. The Boomtubes are pretty loud but I love the gutsy deep sound they make. My car sounds pretty serious now even if the Boomtubes don't actually boost the power.

They sound great! Glad you like me~

I just placed the end of the hanger coming out of the pipe on a piece of wood for leverage so that I had the part after the bend out in the open and then beat on it with a hammer till it was bent at the correct angle. Not sure if this makes sense but it's hard to explain. I didn't bother adjusting the mid pipe because I could tell the at the issue on mine was clearly the hanger.
