Default Tuner for Christmas

Ok so I got my 05 gt a year ago. I bought it privately. The guy I bought it from didn't seem super knowledgable about the car. To make a long story short, the guy told me some mods on the car and told me it had a whipple on it from the first owner who took it off before he sold it to a used dealer. which is where the second owner bought it. So. To make another long story short the PCM had to be replaced and to make the car run we had to use one of the 6-8 tunes on the diablo sport programmer.(which came with the sc I think) The only tune that worked doesn't compensate for the cams. And I don't have much heart for the tuner. So. I asked my folks for a sct tuner from AM for Christmas. They said yes. So. I need to find out who the original owner was and I need to find out the cams inside my car. How can I find out those two things?

I think if you go to the DMV and give the VIN they can tell you who all owned it, but I don't think they will give contact information, to protect his privacy.

Can you take it to a shop and have them look at it and identify the cams?

I hope it works out for you, I also bought myself a tuner for christmas.
