Default Chrome Trim For Front Grill

Does anyone know if there's an aftermarket company producing the chrome grill trim similar tothe one installed onthe Saleen Parnelli Jones car? It's a really nice part which dresses up the grill edge. It's approx an 1" deep and runs along the outer edge of thegrill. I can't believe no one has produced it and offered it to the Mustang community.I called Saleen and they refused to give me the manufacturers name.I can't understand why such a nice piece is designed and molded and limited only to only these cars. You would think that the vendor would try to recoupe his cost by providing more than 500 pieces. Maybe 500is enough to get their money back. I received a few responses from guys who used the rolled chrome trim and fit it over the edge to almost duplicate the look. .

kinda like this?....

its an entire grill though, and it removes the fogs, maybe you could try to just use the trim off of it?

it is a ford part, from the bullit

available here

My hubby( 07 s197) is selling his bullitt grill. He only had it on the car a few weeks and it looked great but he wanted his fog lights back.

Yea, I would also like to keep the fog lights. I wonder if I can easily extract the chrome from the grill?

I just used door edge guard. A 10' roll was only about $5.

I've had the same idea, but I looked at a Bullitt today and I don't think there's enough room on the GT grilleto fit the bullitt trim piece with the fogs.

I think my option may be following in the footsteps of odiaz. Odiaz, don't see one on your site, but do you have a write-up of some form detailing the install of the door trim guard?

edit: nevermind, found it on the homepage: http://www.cherod.com/mustang/Mods/Grill.html Looks like a project for next weekend now
