Default Venom clone for GT & V6

Hey guys,
Long time reader, first time posting.

I came across a Venom clone hood that fits the GT and V6 fasicas.

I was wondering if anyone has already purchase and installed this hood? Do you have any problems installing it (like prep work)and roughly how much did the install cost? It's made up of ISO resin and fiberglass. Anyways, you can read more about it here:

Let me know what you think?

Thanks!

Welcome to the forums. Something just doesn't flow well for me on this. It looks like it has the rise/hum/arch by the headlight pillars where the GT500 headlights lay. I think the front lip of the hood needs to tun like the GT hood. Just my opinion though.

Thanks Mellow,

I found a place that had it in stock and took a drive down there today. It fits very nicely on my car. I found a body shop that would install it for $750. Sounds pretty high to me, but he gave good details in his installation. including painting the top of the front fenders for a better paint match. I asked why the original Venom hood won't fit and he explained the front of the GT500 is longer? But anyways, it does fit the GT. Anyone know about ISO resin and fiberglass?

i like the styling a little better over the GTS-3 hood

I like having the portion in yellow sitting just a little further back, but i like the trufiber better, the price is reasonable also, this is 300-400 more than the trufiber. Nice find for you though since it is close to you!

I like the "nostrils" better, as described above, but the front is still very much made for a GT500. It doesn't line up with the GT/V6 fascia at all.

Yeah, that blows it for me there[&:].
That misalignment with the bumper vertical bar is just not right.
Everything else is fine.

I'd be willing to bet it was made for the GT500 front end, but the dealer just said that it would fit the GT. Hell, a GT500 hood will fit the GT, but it'll line up about the same.

A valiant attempt....but no.

If I had the GT bumper though I would be grateful that this hood is out there. It's not TOO bad, except the lines aren't lined up and the front vents look like ***. But at least you GT/V6 bumper guys have another option.

But $900???? hahaha
