Default Someone with indash 2din nav... please help

Hey all. I am about to install my AVIC-Z2. It should be here today but I need to know what else I will need. Do i Need a mounting bracket and wiring harness, and if so, do I need the ones from the 2004+ F150/Lincolns that Crutchfield sells?

Yes, you need a bracket and also a wire harness. I got mine from Best Buy and Circuit City cause I didn't want to wait for crutchfield.

I have a Spare Harness and Metra Install Kit .... I ended up with 2 when I installed my Avic D3 .... PM me for price if interested ... Luckily you have a 2006 car so you won't need an antenna adapter.

Don't forget a voltage regulator so you don't get a popping noise every time you turn on your car...

Just take your time, it'll be worth it!
Decide if you're going to go full stealth (hiding your NAV antenna under dash / rear compartment)
Are you getting Sirius or Xm to go with it cause it would be easier to install all at once rather than having to take everything out to install those as well
Personally, I've got BOTH my XM and Sirius receiver boxes behind the rear-seat, the Blue-Tooth adapter is hidden beneath the center colsole (at the side of the cup-holders)

You'll definitely enjoy the Z2!

OH yeah, don;t forget to do the "bypass" as listed here.... http://www.sminntech.com/z1flash.html#newbypass
