SCT xcalibrator - Mustangtuning.com
I just spoke with the people at Mustangtuning.com and have the following information regarding shipping for the xcalibrator:
They were inundated with orders and are trying to get them all processed.
The xcal orders are placed with Steeda.
Steeda performs the tunes.
Xcal is shipped from the FL office.
Shipping to San Diego is 4-5 days.
I ordered mine last Monday and was told that I would expect it some time middle to end of next week.
Just an update for those that will buy from mustangtuning that they have a ton of orders and things are running a couple of weeks from order to receipt.
Hope this helps.

From what I have read the Diablo Predator and the xcal is a matter of choice, but do offer slightly different advantages. I asked the mustangtuning folks what they thought (as they sell both) and they suggested the xCal over the predator. They said ease of use, ability to tune well, and many many online programs that work with the xcal.
My original reason for choosing the xcal was that I thought it took no more than an idiot to use it whereas the Predator appeared to have features that I would never personally modify myself (a/f ratio, etc.). I don't feel comfortable at this point in making any of the determinations as to things that could hurt the car until I have more experience with it. I can definitely see the advantages going forward for the Predator with the ability to customize your own tunes and tune the car your way at home, but for now, I will leave the professionals to do it and take the car for dynos upon upgrades/mods.
I hope that this has thoroughly confused you...[&:]

They include a PC interface cable for downloading programs/tunes from online sources.
The interface to the car, I believe, is a port under the left front dash.

I'de like to know how much this bad boy costs. Bet it's in the $400 range. I too, want a tuner I can just plug in and have the factory program provide a satisfying kick. I hope it can easily be set for a K&N filter and removal of that damn vapor trap. That's all I plan to do to it, hop-up wise.
