I've always loved that look...I think a set of regular white letter tires (with bigger writing) would look kick-a$$. Something else I'd love to see for the sake of being retro, is a bad-a$$ metallic paint job. I mean some big a$$ flakes in it to. When I was a kid, my neighbor had a 60's Mustang (to young to remember what the exact year was) but it was awesome. Fat a$$, white letter tires, and painted metallic blue with metallic silver racing stripes.

btw.. it does look awesome.. and just wish it would stick around to enjoy months later w/o all that tedious work to do over and over again.

I just looked at a picture of a Vette I was restoring (1978 or 79 photo) and the tires are Pirelli's.....But I didn't do it must have came that way.

Looks good............

But, I tried it before going with retro "redlines". They will start turning faded and brown shortly. I used the same pen. And spent a lot of time doing it. I have NOT found a solution for permanent white letters.

So unless they've upgraded the pen, expect chipping and Browning of the white soon....Sorry for the bad news.

You did however do a really nice job.
