Default CDC's B9, Cervini's B9, MRT Interceptor hood scoops?

Anyone haveCDC's B9, Cervini's B9, or even the MRT Interceptor hood scoops?

I'm a little confused over these. Why is there aB9 scoop on CDC'ssite and alsoCervini's and yet the two of them are a bit different in dimensions. TheCDC's B9says it's 20.75” wide across front tips, 21.5” wide across center, 19.25” wide at rear, 27” back to front to the longest points of the left/right tips at front, 3.25” tall at center front, 1.5” tall at rear just as scoop tapers down to hood.

TheCervini's B9is 2.5" tall at front, 21" wide, 27" long.

Are they the same scoops? Probably not because theCervini's B9is 2.5" tall and the CDC's is 3.25" tall.
So...two companies with somewhat similar scoops call them the same name, B9.Huh???

Now for the MRT Interceptorscoop. This one seems to be the same as CDC's B9 but MRT decided to call it the Interceptor after their Interceptor Mustang. How do I know it's the same scoop? I emailed MRT and asked for the dimensions and they replied with the same description as you see onCDC's B9. So who really makes this Interceptor scoop? Probably CDC.

This is enough to make your head hurt. [sm=headbang.gif]

By the way, please don't post and say stuff like "Who cares. They're all ugly" because I know these scoops aren't for everyone and it's a matter of opinion/taste.

I just made this post to see if anyone agrees with my findings or has these scoops and want to share some pictures.

Lol, I will second that.
They came out with these in 69 for the Boss 429 (Non functional).
Was ugly then and that remains... The Boss 429 millon the other hand...

To answer your question, I think both, CDC and Cervini, make their own version.

I have cervinis' b9 hood scoop. I believe the description says 2.25 inches tall, but actually seems a little taller. Also, if you place the scoop on the top edge of the hood opposed to below the windshield squirters, the opening seems a tad bit smaller. But push that baby forward and it seems like the opening is 3-4 inches tall.

I was confused with all the different 'Boss' hoods as well. I just went with the one that wasn't TOO tall (cervini). I saw a b9 (mine) that says 2.25 opening and another b-9 thats says 4 inches for the opening.

I'm goingto install the scoop thissaturday (waiting for paint to dry and rain to stop).
And no, I don't think the scoop is ugly at all. We all have our own taste. The roush and the shaker look a little too small for our hoods, imo.

I agree with our factory hoods being huge (and flat)[&:].
And yes, if the B9 scoop wasn't so tall, it wouldn't be as ugly IMO.

It's a good thing that taste is very subjective...[8D]

I'll be the first to agree with you on the shaker being a little small for our hood. But when you put some stripes or full hod paint like Pascal has, it takes away from the size of the hood and makes it look mad nice.

I'm planning to black out the hood (flat black along with scoop) so the scoop doesnt stand out AS MUCH. But if I had the $$$, my first choice would have been the shaker topped off with the b9 scoop. Nice ride btw Pascal + Booz

Pascal, where'd you get that hood black out? Is it decal or a custom paint job. That's EXACTLY what I want, execept for the gloss

Anything that big really should be functional IMO. Kind of looks like an airbrake.

I did it myself with some Anthracite base coat from a Jag paint chip.
It doesn't show in the sig or any other pics for that matter, but it has a lot of metallic andI love the look of iton a sunny day.
I would never have gone with plain shiny black, I wanted something different...
