Default Is there a difference between 2005 and 2007

Questions is kind of simple, what is the difference between the 2005 S197's and the 2007 S197's?

Shouldn't be anything too major, right? Also, if there is, is the 2007 better or worse?

05 and 06 came "loaded" with leather and the IUP or Sport pac.
In 07 they came out with the ambient lighting, HID's, Heated Seats, Nav, etc..

05-06 is the same GT from a Mechanical perspective, but 07+ recieved all the goodies. Also, I think they changed the gear ratio or added an option to the gear ratio in 07. Im not sure as I have an 06.

2005 = No 18" tire option. Gears on 5-speed were 3.55 stock.

My 07 Convertible has heated seats and the iPod/aux jack in the center console.

It also has a bunch of minor mods, but thats another story for another time...

The 07 is slightly heavier (maybe 75 to 100 pounds I think) and the 3.55's are an option (I wanna say available only on the manual trans, but I am not 100% on it), with 3.31 being standard. Aux jack for the radio is standard with the Skipper 500 and 1000. Also, mid-year in the 07 run, All GT's started getting the Front Lower A Arm brace that the GT-500's and Vert's were getting. Also, mid-year there was a change in the exhaust hangers on the 07. They are not as good as the earlier exhaust hangers, and many axlebacks won't work with the new ones. The better designed ones are available for like $50 or so from most places that sell axlebacks. Also, the 07'smany of the items in the earlier TSB's fixed from the factory while the 05's are dependant upon they problem arising in the car and the previous owner recognizing the issue and getting it fixed.

05 also has a "Silencer" in the stock intake thats slightly restrictive and easily removed if your not getting a CAI.

07's are far more exclusive a club of owners however... or at least thats what I have deluded myself into thinking

Well.... late 07 builds DID get the new heads, and are without spark plug problems.
