windshield wiper blades

I still believe in the cheap pylons you find at wal-mart. In my previous posts in this thread I had just put them on. I'm STILL using those SAME ones and they still work just as good. My car does not go in a garage (don't have one). It stays outside all the time, daily driving in rain or whatever. They also lived through a Texas summer.
These cheap *** pylons are worlds better than the expensive ones I had before that cost 2x as much (or more). Granted I havn't tried all brands, but these things have lasted me almost a year in harsh conditions and are still going strong.

Motorcraft and Rain X
I had the stock wipers replaced after about two years at he gas station that did my inspection. I don't know what kind of wiper blade he replaced it with but when it crapped out I bought the Rain X wipers at PEP Boys who installed them for free. The passenger side blade kept slipping off and I almost lost it one time and the tip of the driver side blade can off and I never noticed. All that aside they are flat, curved, quiet and work well but get stuff like leaves or other random crap stuck under them. I decided to replace them today but don't think they are worn. Ford has a "deal" on the Motorcraft Premium Wear Indicator Wiper Blades (WW-2201-P/WW-2001-P) $19.96 for the pair. I went to Pleasentville Ford and their normal price is $9.95 each. I saw them on Amazon for more and a few places for a couple of bucks less but with shipping it all came out to about the same. Since I went to the trouble of going to the dealer I bought them and paid $21.37 for the pair including tax. The wear indicator is what caught my attention in the first place, but truth be told, these wipers are ugly, and after having flat blades I don't think I'll go back. My next replacement blades may be the Motrocraft Flat blades (WW-2001-PF/WW-2201-PF). HAs anyone tried anything else since these 2008 entries?

how come noone has mentioned that the 2011 and up models use a different style wiper attachment. you have to read the packages to make sure you get the right ones. cause not alot of options for these new style blades where it attaches to the wiper arm.

Yes, I know this is an old thread.
I went to a Ford dealer's parts department to buy Motorcraft Premium blades with the wear indicator. The parts man said I didn't want those; they were not good quality blades. He suggested that I buy the Ford blades that were the same as those that came on the car originally. Since the originals had lasted eight years, I bought the ones he suggested. He gave me the wholesale price, which came to about $7 for a pair over the advertised sale price for the Motorcraft of $19.96 for a pair.
Until then, I didn't even know that Ford and Motorcraft produced different products for the same use.
