Will 315's fit on a 10inch wide wheel? Pics?
Like the subject states, will a 315 tire fit on a 10inch wide wheel? I'm thinking about getting the saleen 20 inch wheels for my 06GT. Ive heard mix opinions on this.. some say they won't fit and that you need 10.5's...
Does anyone have pictures of 315's on a 10inch wheel?

yes it will fit fine. But for it to look good make sure you get the right offset. I had 315/35 on my 9 inch saleen rims for a week. Didnt look good for me cuz my rim wasnt wide enough.

ya.. becarefull with that.. i dont know exactly how much wider that is than the 10" wide wheel.. the more side wall you have, the more you can stretch as far as going wider.. but you gotta becarefull because if you go to wide.. you could be in some trouble.. on a 18x10 you would be gold.. but i cant say forsure one a 20x10

I know you can fit a 305/35 on a 20, Nitto makes one. Just go to the tire manufacturer's website for whatever tire you're looking for and it'll tell you the min, max, and recommended wheel sizes for each tire.

The short answer to the question the OP asked is 'no'. He asked a legitimate question and is entitled to an answer that's technically sound. As already mentioned, 10.5" is the minimum (I looked at the specs for several tire makes/models in that size).
For a show-only car or very temporary use, you can probably get away with it. But it's not at all a recommended combination for a daily driver, so it's a lot less than "fine".
It is irresponsible to make recommendationsthat disagree with the tire mfrs specs unless you can back it up with sufficient explanation. Being physically able to get the tire mounted and have it hold air isn't proof enough.

. . . so he cant get 10.5 or 11" . 10" is more than fine for a 315/35/20.

IMO,it would be more appropriate to find a tire to match the wheel.
I don't understand why someone would go to great lengths to improve the performance of their vehicle, then ignore manufacturer specifications. Just because it will go on the wheel, doesn't make it right.

People safely get away with going .5" bigger or smaller all the time. I wouldn't have said it was ok unless I knew that there are people out there who are running it without any problems.
