Default How does it go up.

Yeah, laugh at my sexual innuendo.

So how does stick and auto compaire for the 05+ GTs? Speed wise.

I just feel like it's a SPORTS car. Why buy it in auto? But I keep thinking how good the acceleration would be and all the greatness an auto can ofer.

Anyone want to throw down some insite?

(It's 12:00 so just go with me. Im super tired)

Disagree. While I love driving stick, autos can be just as fast and fun, especially with today's aftermaket tunes.

I think you have better control when you hit the twisties in a manual....in fact, I know

I prefer the manual....but the manual can only be quicker if the driver knows what they are doing of course.

driving a manual gives you better control of the car, which is especially useful in poor weather conditions

Cool stuff. What aftermarkets are you talking about for an auto?

The first time I test drove a GT, the dealer only has auto in their demo car, it was very jerky. The second time they had a manual, what a day and night difference.

I've also test drove other high-end cars with auto, they were a lot better. So, you can have an auto on cars like Lexus and Benz, on a Mustang, you'd better off with an manual.

Sorry man, but you must have drove an auto with a tranny about to go out. My auto is ANYTHING but jerky, as a matter of fact, the complete opposite. The shifts are smooth as silk. The RPM actuallystays way up between the shifts, which impressed me.I never thought I would actually be scared of modding my car because I love everything the way it is. I will definitely mod, for sure, but I don't want to mess with the shifts. They are GREAT for daily driving without sacrificing on power or speed.

To the OP, my auto is a blast. I had to get one due to the significant other having to be able to drive it, but I am more than impressed with it! From any RPM it is pretty stout. While the manual may be more fun, I also like the fact of the auto for daily driving in traffic. And the times for auto's and the manuals are very comparable. Ford did a great job with the S197. Good luck in whatever you choose and feel free to ask me any questions, as I was in your same position for the last few weeks.
