To remove the passenger air bag, First disconnect the battery, and wait 5 minutes for the back up power in the restraint system to drain down, very important. Second, remove the glove box door, by squeezing the detent tabs in and pulling down and remove the screws in the hinge. Then you'll see the air bag up in there is held to the bazooka bar by two bolts, remove them (pic 1). Then unplug wire harness from the air bag, it's the gray plug between the two bolts (pic 1). Now in the pictures I've attached you see a dozen plastic tabs holding the air bags decorative aluminum plate to the dash board (pic 1 & 2). Push the tabs up to release them while pushing out the air bag. This isn't hard just awkward. The top tabs may be quite difficult to get to, so try to get all the bottom and side tabs released then ease the air bag out tilting it up from the bottom and out the front of the dash.
Now with the passenger air bag out of the way it will reveal all the hidden bolts holding the center vents (pic 4), and passenger side vent in place. remove them and carfully pull out the vents, they pop right out.
Of course their are hidden bolts on the both sides of the center vent and you have to remove the instrument cluster bezel trim to get to them (pic 5). The instrument bezel comes out by tilting the wheel down and grabbing the speedo and tach chrome with both hands an yanking it out, top edge first.
When you put the new air bag in, you'll need to get back under the dash and wiggle the black plastic tabs on the left and right side of the air bag into position to get a nice flush fit.Eventualy they all seat flush and it'll look great!
Good luck.
