I think what he meant to say was how long will it take for "normal" discounting (below MSRP, even if only by a little bit) to kick in for GT convertibles. My guess is happens a couple of months into the 2006 model year (for new 2006's). That is assuming that Ford doesn't try to maintain an artificial shortage of convertibles by ignoring customer demand.
By the time the newness factor starts to wear off this summer, it will be already too late for the 2005 model year. Plus, by mid- to late-Fall there will be a bit of seasonal drop-off in convertible lust.
In the end, Mustangs are pretty high-volume cars, even the convertibles, so there is no long-term reason for premium pricing.

mines below 30000....guess that "d" plan from ford is a good thing huh...muahahaha....mine comes in at like 28,200 and then by the time i get it ill have renewal rebates and maybe they will have foctory rebates by then....

It's simple,
1. Join the Military, finish boot camp, do your AIT and get stationed overseas.
2. Order Mustang pay 29,000 and some change for NEW GT Conv.
or, You can wait a couple of years!
