Default MAF Clean

I've got a few questions about MAF cleaning. I know there is a specialized cleaner for MAF sensors. How do you know if it needs cleaning? Do you just remove the sensor and spray some cleaner on/in it? How often should this be done (every xxxx miles, when dirty, just because)? Thanks guys!

A lot of times when the MAF gets dirty you will notice that your cars idle may flexuate. If you pull it out of the intake tube you usually can look at it and see if it is dirty. Buy a can of MAF cleaner and spray it very good then let it dry. Make sure it is completely dried before reinstalling.

There is a Mass Airflow Cleaner out there. I use it every 3K or so because of the K&N cai. I think it may get a light coat of the oil from the filter element. And yes just spray it on and let it dry on it's own. It only takes a few minutes.

where did you get this spray at? My car for about the last month has almost been stalling when cold. 300 rpm to 700rpm back and fourth...
