I don't post much, but I have been doing A LOT of reading.

Dec 29th I bought my 05 v6. Since then I have experienced a few of the problems that others have, some different.

I called my dealer's service department, asking for the supervisor, then gave my list of "issues":

1. Shaker 500 - skips and ejecting cd's (showed them the TBS)
2. low humming noise at 60+mph.
3. hard to fillup at the pump (showed them the TBS).
4. driverside mirror casing had blemishes.
5. paint cracking on the rear bumper.
6. paint blistering, cracking, and flaking off the underside of the hood.
7. left side of car was turning "yellow" (poor/thin painting at factory).

Took the car in Wednesday (4months old with 2578 miles), they gave me an 05 Taurus SE for a loaner.

The stereo, drivers side mirror casing, and gas tank are on a rush order for replacement. Today it went to the paint shop. Hoping the parts will be in when it gets back from the paint shop, otherwise it'll be another visit.

It was a very "painless" transaction in the service department.

Will let you know what the humming is if they are able to figure it out.

glad you found somethings to help you.. I think I might be having those paint issues too. last night I stopped at a friends house at night and after 40 min walked out and saw some punks thew a couple of eggs at my car.. I took it to the machine wash withing 15 min to get all that sheet out(it was late at night) and in the morning I looked at the car and everything was clean except a one inch area that looks to be the impact point. some how parts of the paint was faded off to white specks and there were a few parts that were open all the way though the metal??? no either the car has a sheety paint job.. or those were raidoactive eggs.. I know haivng it on your car is bad.. but it was on there for maybe an hour if that.. is there anything the dealer will do or is there somethign at pepboys that will cover it up a little??? sheeeeeeeeet..
