Well I had to make this decision as well and this is a good way to look at it.

Chrome= Shiny BLING BLING!, heavy, may peel in time, if scratched or scraped (your screwed).

Polished aluminim= Cheaper, Shiny, if scratched can be buffed back to perfection, lightweight, and wont peel...

I have polished 17" Torq Thrusts II's on my stang, I love them, and everyone thinks they are chrome and they only weigh 20 lbs each. Heres a pic of my car...

Great Looking Car...

I also thought about Polished (which are cheaper) or Chrome...

You made the right decision and it shows on your car...

Thanks for sharing your picture...

Your car looks awsome!!!

D

P.S. When the chrome flakes off, I'll probably be ready for a new car anyway...

MAYBE A GT500

Why do you think chrome is heavier? Both are made out of A356 aluminum alloy and weigh the same (for example, ~26 lbs for a 17x8). Also, polished wheels generally require more maintenance and protection than chrome. Soap and water is all you need for chrome. True, there is a price difference... but that is the cost of BLING BLING.
