Default Interested In Ordering A 2005 GT

My parents just suggested that i look into getting a 2005 mustang gt since ive been getting good grades and after they saw one today while they were looking at a new expedition, and also after they found out how much it costed(way less than they thought), plus the pretty good gas mileage....they said they would help without me even bringing it up (someone upstairs loves me i think...wow). anyways, they said they would help pay for it and stuff if i get a job and make most of the monthly payment and what not....of course id spend all of my time outside of school working if it was for a mustang gt, but i was wondering.....is the GT really worth the extra few grand or whatever? I really want a v8 but dont care a ton about all the other gt things that are better than the v6 version...its mainly the v8. What do you think about this??

what else besides the 300HP V8 is better than the v6???

V8 Deluxe. (Black w/ black interior, 17' inch aluminum bullitt wheels(tourque thrusts??), 5 spd. Manual is what i want, everything else i have no real preference with becuase of trying to keep the price as low as possible, to make this possible)

any input or opinions are welcome, i want to hear from owners to get a feel for how worth it is or not. thanks.

'05s are finished. Ford can't even build enough to fill orders from months ago.

'06s can't be ordered until mid-May. People are already in line for those. There will be a plant shutodown in July for a couple of weeks. After that, they'll start building '06s.

My guess is you are looking at least until Sept, maybe October to find a Mustang.

KandyMan,

How can you find out who your dealer rep is? I'm getting a bit tired of hearing "clean/unscheduled" for the last 2 months.. I don't know if they can really do anything, but speaking to a rep is better than just having the salesman shrug his shoulders at you.
