$25 Stripes!?

$25 Stripes!?
You read that right - $25 for a stripe kit...
I've wanted to do a matte black over the hood, top, and decklid stripe for a while. I'd already bought a rocker stripe kit in matte black and loved the looks, so I started looking into "over the top" kits in the usual places... but they always wanted quite a bit of money for what you get. I started looking into various options, and came across my "$25 stripe kit."
My rocker stripe supplier used Avery 7 year material, so I started looking around for wholesalers of the same vinyl material. I found one in NJ, and ordered up a 15" wide by 30' long roll of material. Whopping grand total was $20, including the shipping. Add in a squeegee, a spray bottle, and wax remover... $25 total.
I applied the stripes over the weekend. Screwed up the first time on the hood... no big. I had 25 more feet to play with! Got it on the second try, then the roof, then the decklid. Two hours labor in my garage, and it's all done... see the pics below.
For those of you who want to do a stripe kit on the cheap, this is the way to go. The only downside I can see is, you really are limited to the width of the roll (mine was 15"). On the upside, a reputable supplier can get you any color or texture (carbon fiber, etc.) you want in the vinyl. The curves are a bit tricky, so I stayed away from the bumpers. I'm very happy with the results, and the price.

RE: $25 Stripes!?
yeah WHERE did you get them from?
You could finish them down the front and back bumperif you liked but that is a matter of opinion.
I'd imagine these people could do pin stripes as well.
Give us a link PLEASE!

OK...

Specifically, go to this page: http://www.beacongraphics.com/vinyl/selection-guide.php
As for the stripe not going all the way front to back, it's what they do on the Saleen PJ and Roush Blackjack. It's all in your taste though - what you like. The beauty of it is, if I decide to go all the way, I can (I've got a ton of material left over). If I decide it sucks after a while, I can rip the whole stripe off and I'm only out $25... not $250.
I will say this... the contouring and corners is tough. If I was going to do it over, I'd pick a thinner vinyl which is apparently easier to work with on the contours.
