Mustang percentage by model type
Does anyone know (or know where to find) what is the breakdown of the 2005 Mustangs made so far by model type?
If nobody has this info, I'd like to hear what anyone thinks the breakdown would look like.
Example: Must total 100%
V6 Coupe 50%
V6 Vert 20%
GT Coupe 20%
GT Vert 10%
Most interested in the 2005 year model, but if anyone has the figures for a different year model, I would assume 2005 would be similar.

RE: Mustang percentage by model type
you think they made 20% v6 verts???
I've seen and read far more posts from people with GT verts...
the only v6 vert I've ever even seen was mine... I've seen a couple GT verts...
I'd guess more like
60% V6
27% GT
8% V6 vert
5% GT vert
Then again, what do I know other than what I've picked up reading these forums?

RE: Mustang percentage by model type
I have no idea what the percentage is.
The numbers I gave were for example (but I did use what I thought the breakdown might be).
I don't have any Mustang yet [&:]
I'm only basing mine on two things:
Most dealers around here have NO GT's on the lot and only V6's.
Their V6 inventory seems to be split about 80% coupe and 20% vert.
IF I were ready to buy today I could find a V6 in coupe or vert, but hardly NO GT's.

RE: Mustang percentage by model type
Several folk on this forum work for Ford Dealers, maybe they can assist us with the breakdown. I am sure someone within Ford can give us a unit breakdown some time soon; due to the fact that teh 05's are at years end.
Cheers
Brian
My guess:
05 V6 Coupe = 40%
05 V8 Coupe = 35%
05 V6 Vert = 20%
05 V8 Vert = 5%

RE: Mustang percentage by model type
Based on what Ive seen. Also the V8 is used in F150s. I just dont think 20-30 of every 100 Mustangs is a vert. I think its about 8-10 out of every 100. The biggest vert buyers are So Florida Rental fleets. Anyway, my guess.
65% V6 coupe
25% V8 coupe
5% V6 vert
5% V8 vert
65% V6 coupe
25% V8 coupe
5% V6 vert
5% V8 vert
