Wow, it sounds like a lot of us on these forums are right here in the DFW area!

On the popping problem, did you guys have that from day 1 or did your stangs develop it later? I only have a few hundred miles on mine, so far no popping.

I don't think it was from day 1, but It's certainly been doing it for along time. Have had mine for a little more than 3 months and 2500mi.

It wasn't from day 1, but it wasn't too long in to having it either. Probably within a week or so of some pretty aggressive driving ( had to give all the friends each a personal test ride ).

I plan on either getting my mirrors painted, or getting a set of the Xenon mirror covers and having them painted to match the car color. Have not quite decided yet. Pulling the mirrors off for a week ( or however long it takes someone to get them done ) is probably going to end up being a pain in the butt. I might just go with the Xenon covers.

As for the ducktail spoiler. Yea buddy, I am all over that puppy. Would much prefer that over the wing. But I wasn't going to pay Ford to delete a feature either, so the wing it is. I might some day go ahead and do the ducktail. But not any time in the immediate future. I have seen several different companies offerings, and I don't think I have seen one yet that says it fits in the wing's bolt holes. Which pretty much SUX! I did see one place that had these billet brace looking things that fit along the trunk lid and curved up the front of the ducktail. They fit in the stock holes. Looked kinda kewl.

I have a gt vert that I ordered here in GA-just came in; x-plan price. I told the guy I might not take it now. He's actually upset that I might not take it on x-plan. He is either unaware of what they go for in some markets or the demand has slowed way down. If anyone is interested it's a great price-under $30 k before sales tax.

It is an 05 redfire gt vert w/ black top; dark charcoal leather interior; IUP; spoiler delete; 5-speed; shaker 500; side air bags; anti-theft; bullitt wheels.
