Hand Held Torch? Need help ASAP

Old old thread, but I had to do this again over the weekend.

Use a MAP torch (available from Sears, Lowes, Home Despot). It WILL get the hanger hot enough to bend easily. Once it turns red hot, use a hammer/mallet and pound it into the shape you want. However, this works well with 409/304 stainless. Do NOT do it on aluminized steel because it removes the aluminized coating causing it to corrode faster.

I tried using a long open ended wrench but it applies too much force on the welds to my liking.

My Ducati will turn the exhaust pipes red hot just by idling!

My Buell does also, but it's mostly because the headers are so freaking thin.

My exhaust shop uses a long breaker bar to go through the muffler and then bends to make it centered coming out the rear, you can probly do the samething
