Default Water, water everywhere

My car sat outside all day and it absolutely poured in the evening. Those living in FL know what Im talking about. So, I get in my carthe nextmorning to drive home and a waterfall comes pouring out from underneath my glove box near the A/C. I could here water sloshing around when I would turn corners. When I took left hand turns is moslty when the water would come out from underneath the A/C unit under the glove box. My car doors were shut and my windows were up during the rain storm. How did this water get in my car??
I'm assuming the waterinfiltraded near the top of the hood by the windshield.

I looked to try and see where the water was coming from, but the A/C was in the way.

2005 Mustang GT Coupe. Just bought the thing a month ago. It sat in a rain storm last weekand I never noticedthe water. I had to WetVac the lake in my passenger side floor board. Any ideas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The search function hasn't worked lately but there is a HUGE thread about this. There's a TSB out about it that has the mechanics check the cowl area and some grommets. The area that they don't check is behind the fenderwell. Good luck, a lot of people have problems getting this fixed by the dealership the first time.

Here's the TSB. Save it to your pc and rename it from .txt to .pdf.

Thanks for the info and the links. I tried the search and it wouldn't work for me either. My warranty expired 10 days after I bought the car. Will I be wasting my time trying to get the dealer to fix this?

Pull the cowl top on right hand side to get access
to cabin air filter, at bottom of well area there is a
rubber drain gromment that gets plugged and won't
drain allowing water to come in thrucabin air intake,
you can also see it by looking between battery and
engine about 1 footdown, there is also one on drivers
side about same position, its a bad design, most people
are just pulling them out to leave the drain hole open.

The windshiel wipers have to come off to remove the cowl right? Do the wipers just slide off once you remove the nut? Maybe a stupid question but mine appear as if they should just slide off but they are not. I don'twant to yank on those things if there is another step involved. Like my name says, Iknow less than you think I do, at least with cars anyway.

Open the hood, look at the firewall, you will see 2 black rubber drain gromments. Pull them down. Leaves, nuts can make them blocked. Don't need to remove the cowl.

As far as I know, TSB's are always covered. The warranty has nothing to do with it.
