The GT looks better IMO, but to make it your own is what counts!

I'm not a big fan of the V8 badge. That's just my opinion. But the install looks clean! Nice work!!

Is that V8 badge found also on V8 Explorers?
Yep.
On the tailgate...

Came out good, but I kind of like the GT badge better.

looks good, but i would've used this symbol version found on an "ironman" explorer

i think that fits the design of the car better

but otherwise, nice

Nicely done, I do believe Joolander is right. that emblem looks better IMO. None the less great job on the play by playpost

make sure the holes are sealed :0
Does it matter if the holes are not sealed? I believe the area behind the fender is a "wet" zone due to water running down the gap with the hood, and being thrown everywhere from the front tire, right?

I agree the badge doesn't really match the style. I'm still on the hunt for the right replacement. +1 on no badge, I wish I could do that.

Glass beading is like sandblasting, just using glass bead instead of sand. At work they have both the sand blast cabinet, and the bead blast cabinet. The glass bead is much easier on substrate, but breaks down quickly.

I couldn't find any info on this badge. What years Explorer did they come on? I would like to seek out the PN to check it out.

well last time i was at the dealer, they had this "ironman" edition explorer (named forthe triathlon thing, not the superhero)

i believe it was new, so like 2007, 2008? I'd go into the dealership and ask the parts counter (show them a pic, they're usually abit slow)

the pic i showed you was from this article (says its on the 2008 eddie bauer)
