but arent those for the 04's....they wont correctly fit the 05's right...i know the ones on ebay are replicas...i was just saying i like em....
yeah, i think they are for the 04's but the guys at discount called tirerack and they said that they have the same rim that will fit the 05's. i hope they are not wrong, but if they are, i will just send them back and get the other ones i was looking at. only problem with those is that they were $600 a rim and staggered so i can put 295's on the back...that boils down to another 1000 bucks. lets hope the FR500's fit[sm=sigh.gif]
So the tire rack is saying, that a rim with more off set to fill space on the inside of the tire foot print, can let you run a 295 tire ???

That would be awesome, and make me consider keeping the 05, and looking at a blower. I am considering a 04 or 05 Vette, to get the power and a huge tire out back.

I will try following up at my local rim connection to see if they will price that 295 option out.

Which red is your paint color ?? It looks like refire in one photo, then not as deep a red in another. Of course, it looks great in both shots ! I really like the wheels.
Thanks, man! It's redfire.

Like most of the wheels coming out right now, those are for the 97-04 cars. The reason you have to go with a 245 tire on the 05 is so it won't rub the outer fender. If they truely made the wheel for the 05 you could go up to a 285-295 tire without problems. It's fine if you don't lower the car and don't mind your tire sticking out of the wheel well. I prefer the lowered look with the whole fender filled up with tire. Looks like nobody wants to re-tool for the 05.

Listen guys....There are several examples of cars done correctly and well......NOT so correctly in this forum..In my personal opinion, this is the way the stang should sit...http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...PcY_BIN_Stores This car has 18x9's in the front with 265/35x18's and 18x10's out back with 295/35x18's.............Looks good to me! And if you like the wheels, they are available in another auction.

Sorry, I disagree... too low of a profile tire for my taste (first pic below). That tire is 1" shorter than stock... where's the traction in that? If it weren't for wet roads and soft compound, a 28x10.5 MT slick would look best. Kind of like the Dragstang (2nd pic below): http://www.muscularmustangs.com/ford.../mustang20.jpg

Try this link for more pics of the Dragstang: http://www.paulshp.com/photopost/sho...&cat=506&page=

I may be the only one, but that's cool to me.

I don't see any tire size noted in either auction. The tire look bigger than 255's, but I thought Roush, Saleen, etc. only run 275's out back.

I would realy like to know if a rim is already out, that will fit a 295 out back. That would make me consider a super charger, instead of moving on to a 400hp plus factort car (Saleen, Vette, etc.

Nitto, for example, recommends a 10" wide wheel for a 295-18 tire. There are 10" wide wheels out there, just make sure the offset is what you want it to be.
