Default 275/40-20 Fronts and 315/35-20 Rears Anyone?

I tried this question in another post and gotonly one answer that was more a comment on the post.

I am considering a wheel and tire package advertised as fitting the S197. 20x9 (42mm offset) wheels with 275/40's up front and 20x10.5 (56mm offset) wheels with 315/35's in back. These tires are freakin' huge. Is anyone running these tire sizes? Pictures please.

I know they're 1.6" taller than the stockers but think the bigger tire would take some of the harshness out of the 20's and would fill out the stock ride height wheel well's nicely.

I have 245 40 20 front (8.5" rim 27.7" tire hieght)and 305 35 20 (10" x 38.25" tire height) rim with NITTO drag radials in the back. The car is also lowered with the Eibach pro kit. I had to install the Steeda adjustable pan arm bar becuase the rear end was 1/2" out of line to the body....which is apparently typical for these cars. The one side was hitting until I lined it up centered. Now it barely touches on a big high speed dip in the road.....but nothing to worry about. As you can see the 305's are tight fit if the car is lowered.....but your rims have more offset.....the 315's might be fine....as Ithink there is more room to go inside ......for fatter tires than the 305'S if the rims have more offset.

The taller tire height does make the car ride better....not as rough as rubber band tires.

Post pics if you try it!!

I know that with the right offset, you can go 10" up front without rubbing, but I'm not sure of the maximum tire width.
