Mustang GT Venom??
Question.....ever heard of a Mustang GT Venom?
My wife's cousin has a 07 or 08 (don't remember which) Mustang GT. She says it's a "Mustang GT Venom" and she bought it from a dealership. I have never heard of the Venom. She said they only make 13 a year. From what I can tell .....It has a Venom badge under the GT on the sides of the car, Venom stitched into the backrest of the seats, a Rousch looking rear spoiler, the shaker hood and a front air dam of unknown type, and an exhaust system. (I wish I took a picture). I have no idea if there are any engine mods.
The reason I ask is....I'm looking to get a new Mustang and I'm looking at the GT's, Bullit's, Shelby's etc.. She's looking for someone to just take over the payments. It "sounds" like a good deal but I'm not sold on it yet. I attempted to do some research but couldn't find the "venom" and I'm thinking this may just be a bunch of aftermarket stuff slapped on.
any thoughts?

Thats what I thought......
Now I need to make a decision. She paid somewhere in the upper 30's for her car, payments in the $600 range. I need to shop around the local dealerships, I can get employee discount since my mom is retired from Ford Motor Co. If a dealership around here will give an employee discount on a GT500 that puts me in about the same place. Not to mention any other modded stangs they may have on the lots. I could get a Bullit and be paying $550 NOT including the employee discount. Seems like I may be overpaying if I take over her car thats just a dealer special.

1morepart....I'll likely find out more in the coming week or so.
We talked about doing a car swap for a week. She likes my car (solstice GXP) and I like her car. If I go down this road with her it's an even swap, just make each others payments. If do a week 'testdrive' I'll be sure to put up pictures.

it's a dealer thing
around here they have the fastback GT and V6.... basically they remove the badge and write fastback on the side....add over the top stripes and chrome wheels and call it quits

Personally, I just get a Bullitt or Cali Special... both aren't too common and stand out in a crowd of GTs. The GT500 is nice, but in this sort of economy it might not be the best thing to buy. My wife and I almost bought a red/white GT500 but decided on the CS in the signature because of economic woes, resale value, gas mileage the whole lot.
