Discount through Ford Partners ...

X-Plan = A-Plan + 4% + $250

A-Plan = Employee price ...

Here is an example ... I get X-Plan through my Company. I bought the car in my SIG with X-PLan ($22,260 sticker / X-plan $20,863) ... Here is a car currently on the same dealers lot that I've be checking out ... note my X-plan price ....

If you ignore the $500 customer cash ... I can buy the car for $51 below invoice with zero haggling. Also .. with the X-Plan the dealer is NOT allowed to charge any bogus fees (paperwork, prep, etc) ..... the only thing you have to pay for with Xplan is tag, tax and title ....

The Mustang Shelby GT500 is not eligible for purchase or lease utilizing the AXZ Vehicle Purchase Plans. Please check with your local dealer for further details.

both the gt500 and the shelby gt were not eligible when I was looking. I'm willing to bet neither was the Bullit so I just got a GT and saved about 4500 after all the xplan and other discounts.

I think the Bullitt initially was on the X-Plan because i saw reports of some folks getting it. Not sure if it still is. Also ... pretty sure a dealership has the right to no honor the X-Plan. In that case just go to a different dealer.

EDIT: Bullitt is X-plannable ...

This is the stuff that really gets me unglued. Ford corporate will say when considering the GT500 and othersthat "all though we do not endorse dealers to mark up specialty vehicles above MSRP, we cannot regulate such practices as they are privately owned businesses" or something to that effect, yet they go and publish that "The Mustang Shelby GT500 is not eligible for purchase or lease utilizing the AXZ Vehicle Purchase Plans. Please check with your local dealer for further details." Whichbasically is giving the dealers a convenient way to do as they wish even though they say they don't support or endorse the practice. So, whats it going to be Ford corporate? You talk the talk but you sure as hell do not walk the walk. Anyone really surprised?

Markups are pretty much gone on the GT500 aren't they? I'd have this one sitting in my Garage ... if I could come up with the $$$$. It's at a dealer 15 minutes from me ...
