I don't think power braking was part of Fords time trials

Why do you say that?

Why do you say that? (echo in here?)

I bet it will be more difficult to find out what were the conditions at Ford's time trials than it will be to find out about the conditions at the OP's time trials. Let's ask: "Hey, cinifiend, what were the condtions of your time trials? Altitude, fuel, wheel/tire combo, state of tune, surface, driver experience, miles on the odometer, you know, all that scientific stuff that gets in the way of ordinary conversational exchanges.

"Oh, yeah, one more question: what's a cini?

Thank you for your kind attention.

The conditions of my trial were at a red like with a stop watch. Everything on my car is stock except for the roush exhaust. I was worried that the roush exhaust might have actually lowered my horsepower, but I don't think it would have been a significant amount if that were possible. It also says on the roush website improved performance so I'm not sure. My tires are fairly worn, I bought the car used

all I did was get the roush body kit, and the roush off road exhaust with the square tips, and had the guy at the local ford dealership install everything for me.

You really need to get a tunerand a CAI kit. The tune will help your shift parameters on your trans. It makes a world of difference with the auto. Then later down the road 3:73 or 4:10 gears and a torque converter. Don't let the stick guys make you thank you should have got a stick. The most consistent guys I see at the track drive a auto and have the best times.

i beleive that the mags. use a manual tranny stang for the 0-60 they have a little lower rear gear and they go out and just beat the snot out of the car and report the best results. with a good driver a manual should launch way better than a stock a/t.

The auto is 3.31 gearing which will mean .2 or .3 slower and the driver and many conditions, but this is not the real world times!!
