When i first got my car, i used to pull the e brake way farther than i needed to. I was worried my baby might roll away, lol

Thanks for the write-up bro

This one mustang I was looking at was very loose....lol we got back from the test drive and parked on a slight incline, and as the salesman was getting out of the car, I'm trying to pull on this thing like it was the safety lever in Armageddon; and it is still rolling back. The salesman is like "uhhh thats normal"........

Now that I have seen this, it explains alot, thanks man

Talking Ebrake tightening position

I think what's really important to note here that not one single person has addressed is that kingsofcrunk had "the VERY best of" Scorpions CD IN HIS CAR....pretty sure that the "best of" includes 2 songs. and one of those was only famous because the berlin wall fell

Cool write up, but I caution everyone here to be careful how hard they pull their e-brake.

I was parking on a steep hill one day 6 months ago, and when I went to pull my e-brake up the cord snapped. $600 later everything is repaired.

The Ford Service rep told me that it wasn't entirely my fault, the cables get exposed to water, then rust, and they are weak parts to begin with. But true enough I think I had been yanking my e-brake handle a little hard over the years.

just sayin.
