Painting Cam Covers Question
I have a 2007 GT in Windveil Blue. I got a can of WVB made up at my local paint shop, and I am wondering can I use it to paint the cam covers, even though it is not high temp paint. can I prime the covers first with high temp primer from DupliColor, and then use this enamel paint, and then clear with high temp clear? Will that protect the paint from the engine heat?
I would really like to match the cam covers to the body color, but if not, i can always paint them silver, as I can get that in high temp from Duplicolor.

RE: Painting Cam Covers Question
I have seen others paint the cam covers with regular paint. Truth is, the cam covers don't seem to get as hot as the rest of the engine. But then again, it might just be me. HAving the shaker hood really helps keep the engine compartment temperature down. The heat comes out through the shaker opening. On a hot muggy day, you can see the heat waves coming out throguh the shaker opening.
