Default Back pressure

Just a quick question for the gear heads. I have excessive popping coming from the exhaust. When I let off the gas peddle it pops even in between shifts it pops. Anyone have an idea what is going on. I changed out the plugs about 10k miles ago. Would the CoPs going bad cause this or should I crack her open and look at the plugs or have the tuner check to see how rich she is running?

This isn't a small amount of popping, but a rather large amount. If I have to take her back to the tuner I will but money is tightright now.

thanks for any and all help.
