why not? Its not gonna be stock too much longer anyways. Plus ive been having some problems with it acting like it wants to die sometimes when im sitting at a redlight. The car will shake and kinda sputter. A few times when it has done this i thought someone had hit my car cause it'll shake so violently. It only has 16,700 miles on it.

Do you have a tune? Because if you do something is wrong with it. With only 16000 miles your plugs meant to last 100,000 are not going to be causing you trouble if your "stock". But hey, its your money. Do as you want. Just don't see the need for stock replacements. And if you go HT0's. Lower heat rangers can actually hurt performance from what I've heard.

To me it seemed to have a little bit better throttle response when I went with the Champions. The reason I changed them out was because of the problems some were having with the 2-piece plugs separating when taking them out. The grounding shield would stay stuck in the head and caused major $$ and time to fix it. The Champions are traditional 1-piece design so separation isn't an issue any longer. Changing them out was cheap insurance for a car I plan on keeping for a long time.

champion spark plugs are worse then bosch, all they did in my chevy pickup was throw a CEL for misfires after 4-5 months, i put autolights in, Halo makes good plugs to but there a bit more expensive

I put the Champions in at 35k miles as a preventative maintenance measure against the disasters I've heard about the stockersbreaking in the heads during removal. I can't tell any difference in the performace and it gives me peace of mind. I followed the TSB religiously and the swap was a POC. The stock ones were in great shape when I removed them but, I threw them away anyway. 2 piece is a stupid design for these plugs.

Does NGK not make a 4.6 plug? NGK engineering in plugs is phenomenal and they are priced as good, if not better than the US brands.

Before someone jumps in with the E3 trend...tried them...not so much.

I put Champions in my GT at 13K, just turned over 16K and have had nothing but fine performance!! Running a Brenspeed 92 tune, CAI etc..just finished a one day trip of 864 miles around Montana (yes the posted speed limit was exceeded by a bitand often).Got 24.5 mpg for the trip. I pulled 2 plugsafterward and they have perfect color and clean.I am sure if the plugs were going to be problematic, I would have known by now.
One thing I have heard is the MAF is dirty and the plugs are getting the blame. I spray down my MAF every 2K and have never had any deviations fromperfect idle or performance.
