Default Wireless Windows up and down

So here is the plan: Please give all the feedback you can

There is a relay inside the car for each one of the buttons on our remote keychain: Lock, Unlock, Panic, Trunk Release. I never use the panic button ever (unless i am making my friends jump when they walk in front of my car). I could use the relay so that when i push the button on the keychain it will make the key go into the 1st stage of accessories and roll down the windows. The panic button relay could be used to supply a voltage to the window motor and to the same wire that is connected when you turn the key one click.

This is only an idea at the moment. The problem that i see so far with this is i can only make the windows go up or down, but not both. This would be nice to make it go up if was raining or down if it was really hot outside.

Although i would want to be able to make the windows go up and down so i am going to purchase this.

http://info.hobbyengineering.com/specs/DIY-k180.pdf

With this i can control four relays wirelessly. Which would be window up and window down.

When i do this i will supply a thorough walk through if anyone is interested.

Can someone supply me wiring diagrams?

Thanks

The only problem with getting rid of your panic button is incase your alarm goes off, you wont be able to turn it off. I accidentally set my alarm off last week when I was jacking it up and had to use the panic button to shut the alarm up. With the bmws, you can just hold the unlock button down and it makes the windows all roll down until you release the unlock button. Maybe there is some way to just wire the regular fob so that holding unlock will make the windows go down and holding lock makes the windows go up? Just a thought. I think this is the wiring diagram you want. http://iihs.net/fsm/?dir=40&view...%20Windows.pdf

i have a DEI window module, have not hooked it up yet but maybe one day down the road. the module goes between the switch and the motor and controls it that way.

one issue i think you will have with the stock alarm doing it for you is the range.you will have to be pretty close to the car just to make it work? theres alot of RF alarms out there no days that can transmit and recieve 1/4 mile.

If you hold the factory fob to your chin when you hit the button, it transmits pretty far. I would just like a way to roll the windows down before i get to the car in the summer to let the heat vent out for 30 seconds or so before i have to get in.

well you guys should have bought a S197 when they first came out. LOL!!!
My 05 will roll the windows down if I press the unlock twice while holding it the second time. I have been really using it lately. When I'm walking to my car i hit unlock, unlock+hold and down they go.
The only thing I hate is that i can't let them up with the remote. But I can let them up by sticking the key in the keyhole turning it to the right(lock) and hold it there and let them down by turning the left(unlock) and holding it there.
It's kinda like my buddy's audi except his will roll up with the remote too!

Hmmm..... DEI has a module.
My wiring goes in between the switch and motor also.

There are NOT four relays. Its all handled by the SmartJunctionBox.
Very hard to interface to internally.

http://iihs.net/fsm/?dir=40&viewfile...%20Windows.pdf

Connector C504 GREY - MASTER WINDOW ADJUST SWITCH
Located inside thedrivers side door under the Master Window Switch
Pin1 - Black - Ground
Pin2 - Yellow - LF DOWN
Pin8 - White/Black - LF UP
Pin7 - Violet/ LiteGreen - LF Auto
Pin4 - Tan/LiteBlue - RF DOWN
Pin10 - White/Yellow - RF UP
Pin9 - Violet/LiteBlue - RF Auto

Connector C518 GREY - POWER WINDOW MOTOR LF
Pin5 - Black - Ground
Pin7 - Violet/Yellow - Constant 12V

Connector C2280G Black - SMART JUNCTION BOX
Pin2 - Red/LiteBlue - ACC DELAY

Here is how its done on an 07:
The motors are smart motors with the control modules for
UP/DOWN contained within the door panels. The
motor/modules are supplied 12V constant (LiteBlue C518)
along with a DACC or Accessory Delay power. You must
supply the modules 12V on the DACC wire when you
want the windows to be able to move, This is done either
with the alarm module 12V un-arming output or an off-delay relay.
The thought on this is to supply the DACC 12V requirement
for the windows to be able to move when you want them
to move. Either the alarm can meet this requirement in
the form of a timed output, when first un-armed, of the
required time needed to allow the windows to rolldown
completely from the fullyclosed position. Or a pulsed
output from the alarm when un-arming to trigger an off-delay
relay set to the required time. The colors of the DACC wires
are Red/LiteBlue for both the left and right motor/modules.
A diode should be used to prevent backfeeding of other
DACC controlled accessories in the vehicle. This is
connected at the SJB C2280G Red/LiteBlue wire. This requires
running a single wire from the drivers side door where the
relays are located to the SJB C2280G, the only oval connector
on the rear of the SJB.
The next requirement that needs to be met is the DOWN
and AUTO inputs to the modules. The DOWN is made normally
when the OEM switch is depresed to the first position making
the DOWN input and then the AUTO input is made in the second
position while maintaining the DOWN input. This can be
accomplished with a 4PDT relay. Hook the first set of NO
contacts of the relay to theDOWN module input (left side - Yellow)
and the other connection goes to 12V DACC connection to make
the relay sourcing. Then hook up the second set of contacts to the
AUTO module input (left side - Violet/LiteGreen) and the other
connection to 12V DACC connection to make it sourcing also.
The same needs to be done for the other side. (DOWN right side -
Tan/LiteBlue AUTO right side - Violet/LiteBlue).
All the wires can be accessed in the drivers door via C504 at the OEM
power window switch and C518 at the window motor except the DACC wire.
2 DPDT relays can also be used in place of the4PDT relay if
you cannot find one. Just hook the coils in parallel and be sure to use
a diode across the coil for PIV protection.
Constant 12V can be obtained from the LiteBlue wire on C518
on the left front motor/module.
I verified operation of the above mod by using two off-delay
relays with one being set to the time required to allow the
windows to rolldown from the fullyclosed position and the second
one being a 4PDT set to a 1 second pulse to mimic theDOWN
and AUTO inputs to the left/right motor/modules. I used a diode
at the SJB C2280G Red/LiteBlue wire to keep other OEM
accessories hooked to the DACC wire from being powered
by my circuit. I then hooked up the inputs of the delay relays
to the trunk release output of the SmartJunctionBox and now
I can rolldown my windows with the trunk release button on my
remote.
Or as you requested......
You can wire the triggers of the off-delay relays to your passengers
side door unlock solenoid. One press, drivers side unlocks. Second press
within 2 seconds unlocks the passengers side door and rolls down the
windows as well. Unless its rainingand then what......
I like it hooked to the Trunk Open button on the remote.

Any more questions?

HUH??? The chin? Not the left or right temple? And what if you stand on one leg with one arm outstretched at the 12:00 position and the other to your crotch...?

EDIT: It's a Saturday and I'm at work, hence the sarcasm.
