Anyone else tired of shifting?

x2 on tired of shifting. So i bought a auto daily driver thats still fun. And i drive the mustang on the weekends and to the track every other week. In the stang the gas pedal is a switch, its all or nothing, so for me.... not a daily driver You also have to remember lazyness, you cant just lay your left leg stretched out and drive single light footedly, like an auto. -Jon

I'm just learning to shift the gears in mine, and it really is fun once you get the hang of it. I have to be honest, I still get apprehensive at times. I find myself wanting squeal out if someone is behind me. I suppose it's just going to take time.
I can understand what the OP is saying....if I were driving the standard everyday, in and out of town, that would be a lot of shifting.
My white car is an automatic, and I dearly love that car. I know everyone has different tastes, but the automatic transmission has it's place too......(first place at the dragway!)

I mean driving a manual lol.
Squealing out is the icing on the cake!

Hum, if it's a dude... Wack him upside the head.
In your case though, it's still sexy.
Just remember... Don't fight it.
Towards you first, then forwards. Maybe I shouldn't have said that lol.
Well, my wife is smiling. I'm OK then.

I drive mine almost daily in the good weather, put it up for winter. I have had quite a few manuals over the years, but I prefer the auto for as frequently as I drive. With the CAI and tune I can chirp the tires in the first three gears. A lot of people do ask if I wouldn't prefer the stick, I always say I don't miss it a bit. In fact I drove to a dealer about 130 miles away to get one with an auto tranny in the color I wanted.

This is my first manual tranny car, and it can be a bit of a pain at times. Especially, going through the whole "Building Up Your Leg" stage. It definately takes getting use to, but I quickly forget about it though when I shift through the gears. I guess as others have already said, it is just personally preference. IMO manual is the ONLY way for a Mustang.

coming from europe we had nothing BUT manuals (our driving school/test is done with manuals to acquire a licence too), all my previous cars have been manuals, had to get an auto tranny when I got here, so many effin stop signs and S**T here in the U.S, no thanks for manual. Love my auto though, dont regret it one bit, the torque converter doesnt make it a smoother ride tho
