HOLY HELL! ARE YOU MAD!?
I never in my wildest of dreams thought about modding ANYTHING that much.
SPECTACULAR Thread! Keep it up, the more pictures the happier it makes me feel.

Although, everyone on the forums should hate you. All future car shows (Mustang and
other) will just mail you all the trophies.

QUESTION: I'm trying to get my stereo out, how did you remove the plastic columns on
either side of the stereo? I did some tugging and some pushing, stopping right before trying
to hammer them off.

P.S. here are some pics i took comparing the 2 oranges: Lambo orange (more of a yellow) and the Mustang Orange.

Stop me if that orange is aftermarket, it's the only orange i ever seen on a mustang.

If you remove the center console, pull straight forward on them and they pop right off.

Here's a set of instructions I got off of another forum

Lift center console and remove.
Pull towards rear of the car th 2 side plates on center console on either side of radio.
Remove 6 visible 7mm headed hex screws.
Reach in from sides and disconnect wiring going to heater controls. both sides.
Pull out center panel far rnough to disconnect wiring from power outlet, srs + hazard light switch and iup controls if appplicable.
You now have access to the radio.

The airbag is covered with a CF looking material. What is it exactly?

It is carbon fiber leather (not vinyl) Here are some closeup pictures of the recovering.

Yes, the stock carpet was used at this time. I dont plan to change the color of it at this time. I am using the same color scheme as my vette and truck.

If it is done right there shouldnt be any issues. Alcantara is easy to clean and has a good wear that is why is more expensive than regular suede.

I just found this thread and DAMN!!! I feel like I'm watching an episode of Unique Whips or Overhaulin and the last 10 minutes of the show are to follow...the completed project when do we get to see it???? drool

You are doing an awesome job!!! That interior is a work of art. When it's all put together and if it looks 1/2 as good as that Corvette interior....WOW
