Upgrading from stock 17" Bullitts
I have a set of the stock 17" Bullitt rims on my car. If I want to get some 18" rims, will I need spacers or brakes or something to accomodate the new rims?
I'm actually not sure what I want to go with just yet, but I have some ideas. Maybe y'all can help me out. =)
18" Gunmetal Grey Shelby Razors
18" Grey Foose Nitrouses
18" Black Deep Dishes
18" Charcoal OEM Bullitts
So what do you all think would look good on my car? Here's a couple of angles for reference.

17" stock rims means you have some sort
of OEM steering stops installed. This is a
big plus to keep em from rubbing.
Whats the backspacing/offset?
Whats the width of the rim desired?
What size tires do you plan on installing on the 18" rims?
All this info can help determines if spacers will be needed.
I like my new 18x8.5" 50mm offset polished bullitts with 255/45ZR18s
on them but the spokes barely, and I mean barely, miss the V6 brake
caliper mounting brackets.
I am currently planning on the GT brake upgrade.
Also, I have NO OEM steering stops and when turning really sharp,
the tires rub.
-installing 17" x 8" wheels, use steering stop 4R3Z-3932-BA
-Installing 18" x 8.5" or 18" x 9.5" wheels, use steering stop 6R3Z-3932-CA
For vehicles with 17" wheels from the factory:
-installing 18" x 8.5" or 18" x 9.5" wheels, use steering stop 6R3Z-3932-CA
of OEM steering stops installed. This is a

yes, with the V-6 you will need new steering stops when upgrading your rims.
As far as color, since you've got black stripes going I say any of those rims in black would be a great choice. Go for the bullitts if you like the traditional look.
Of course once you get those big rims on there you will see a need to get bigger brakes!

As bad as this may sound...Don't fall into the Foose or Shelby cliche wheels. They are great looking but so popular. Choose something unique that still has appeal and the look of muscle. I went through 3 sets of wheels before finally settling on my Konig Sideways. I get tons of compliments and they look perfect with the car. Pick out what you like and have someone photoshop them on your car. That's what I did after realizing that I was going to lose too much by just buying and reselling from ebay.

Victoria, when making your choice on wheels, I would consider the following:
1. A set designed for our year 05-08 cars (this will ensure a true bolt on experience without the needs for spacers, etc...) Most of the major companies offer direct fit (like American Muscle, cruizin concepts, late model resto, etc...)
2. On my car I went with something unique, like stated by the member above. The black bullits above are very popuar, but the are on a ton of cars. The shelby's would follow and then the fooses'.
3. A staggered set would be HOT! Consider a 8.5 in the front & a 10 in wheel in the back, they would look like my sig (keep in mind my wheels are 20's)
Good Luck, wheels really give the car personality & seperate it form the others out there!
