2008 Bullitt spare tire (or lack of...)
I've just bought a 2008 Bullitt (#4495, which I love) and I'm concerned about the lack of a
spare tire. The inflation kit is fine for small punctures but what happens if I tear a sidewall?
My question is this: Was the decision to not include a spare tire a space saving measure
(a 18" spare won't fit in the trunk well) or just a $$ issue? It seems that a complicated
inflation kit would be more cost prohibitive than a good old spare.
If I can fit a 18" spare in the trunk well I'll just stop by the junkyard.

Cost & weight saving measure on Fords part I would guess. You can pick up an 18" spare, but you will also need to get the jack, hold down bolt etc.... There is a group buy going on over on IMBOC.com

Dont think it matter since the bullit has regular breaks. Tire height should still be 27".
Personnally I would rather have the kit than the weight of the spare. If the kit is really $18 I will buy one. Where can I get it?
Thanks,

rather have a spare anyday. within 10 minutes i can have the spare tire on, and on my way home. rather not dick around with a kit, or wait for AAA.
I have a plug kit that i have used many times. Truck tires, sedan tires, and drag radials. works great.
