Default biggest tire for 18x9

whats the largest tire i can fit on a 18x9 wheel. I currently run 255/45's in the front and i want something a little taller/meaner in the back, to fill the wheel well. Thanks

I am running 275/40, and think I saw tirerack recommended upto 285 on a 9" rim, but can't remember for sure.

I think 275's are the widest you can go on 18x9's. Almost positive.

Just be aware that running extra large tires will mean that your speedo will be off and Ford can't calibrate it. You'll need a custom tune for that.

find the brand you want and check the specs

275s should be no issue, idk think even 285s would be ok, stay close to a 27.25 diameter and your speedo will not be off much

275 would be the best for the 9" inch rim but getting a tire that measures nearest to the stock 27.2 size is hard. The 275/40 is you best option. You will be about 1 MPH off at 60 MPH which really isnt anything to worry about.

I'm running 275/40 all the way around on 18x9s. Fits the wheel wells perfectly.

i have 275/40/18 in front and 285/40/18 in back. both are on 18x9's. but i'm changing the back to 275/40/18's next time around. the 285's fit, but they are not the ideal size.
