Me, personally would get a manual. Then again, I believe someone out there is supposed to make a 'shift kit' for the auto.. .maybe a wratchet style? If thats the case, i'd go auto. But, the car does become more 'intimate' with a manual. Good luck!

If I had to do it over again, I'd pick a manual with out a doubt. Traffic or not. I find myself getting bored and then tired when in traffic. If I had a manual, i'd be moving around more thus not getting so bored/tired. And manuals sound better.
Oh well...

Definitely go manual. After a while you won't even be bothered by shifting and it'll become second nature.
Everytime I've raced an auto V6 I've won easily, manual does make a difference.

ANY idiot can put his foot down on the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel. It takes a SPECIAL idiot to do that and shift gears.
I feel that I can launch quicker with a manual providing I don't do something stupid... Unfortunately... LOL!

Ill race you in your auto! seriously, ill put money on it.
on a serious note, theres a guy on here with nitrous and an automatic and is runnin high 11s I believe. so it really is all about the set up. with my drag radials, supercharger, clutch and short throw shifter I've only lost to 3 automatic cars so far. 2 of which were 700+ HP supras and one was a 580 rwhp mach 1. oh, and automatics are more consistent (aka 1/4 mile) i cant tell you how many times i missed a gear or launched at too high an RPM when i was learning to drag race. not as much of a problem with an auto...

I live right in the heart of las vegas. And I love driving my manual, traffic or not. I almost bought an auto because i had never driven manual and I wasnt sure if I would like it but I'm sooo glad I bought the stick shift.
