I'm wondering if they are making the tail lights european friendly with the 2 clear lenses. Is one of them going to be an amber turn signal?
I'm not liking the rear at all. I love the rearend of my S197. Geuss the days of trying to create your own look with tail light bezels or a rear blackout panel or both is not what Ford wants us to have.
The S197 tail lights are much more reminisant of the Muscle era of vehicles. These new ones look like Ford wants to have soft curves.

Looks awesome so far... I'm so glad there was the same amount of hype on this model as there was on the S197's. By the time the 05's came out I was already tired of hearing about them. Obviously they looked good but the hype was waay too much.

Looking at the big photo, yes, it looks like the wing is gone... replaced with what seems to be very close to the GT500 spoiler. And while it does look like a keyhole in the spoiler it doesn't really make any sense that it would be there, does it?
I think this is looking a little like the way they changed the area between the taillights of the 67 Mustangs. Remember how it became sort of tucked in? Look at the line of the taillights and how the rear panel looks concave. The current ones are not at all.
I do have a small concern about the taillights, as having 3 seems to be the main thing with me. I can't tell how many there are! And I can't tell if they are LED or not. But why did they move the backup lights to there?
But the more I think about this new Mustang I think that yes, it is probably going to be more modern than the current, retro S197. I think we have to get away from our attachment to the past looks and be prepared for something new. The S197, when it came out in 2004, wasn't all that futuristic, was it?
But my main question is - Who thinks they'll get one in that gold color?

I hope they dont go the direction of going back to all round corners so its the jelly bean look. I love the current car as it is. They did an amazing job with bringing back the 60's look but in todays standands. If they did change anything it would be making the gt500 front end standard look as i like the more aggressive look. I love square line's with some rounded edge's but not too many.
