Seat tilt handle broken...

warranty went out a few miles ago, I'm just a tad over 48,000 on the odometer.
It's not that big of a deal in hindsight, I was just pissed off when the thing broke off in my hand last night. I'll fix it next time I go home.

Yeah, pretty stewpid considering...
When I began to hear about it on the forums, I began trying to making it a point to use the lower handle on the side of the seats to tilt the seat instead of using the one on the back.

I am in the process of getting the tooling requoted to make a new & improved plastic seat handle. The tooling is EXPENSIVE, but the new part should be about half the price of what the dealership wants, which is IMO a defective part. I'll keep y'all posted...

I bought this NICE billet aluminum replacement set when mine broke... they look beautiful & I'LL never need to buy 'em again.

Definitely don't sweat this. When I was looking to get my Stang, used mind you, the two in the area I was looking at both had broken handles. On one, one was missing completely, and the other I'm sure one was broken already, cause the first time I used it, it popped off. I've got it pushed on there right now, and I can make it work. But you have to do it a certain way.
Sure it sucks that it's broken, but in the grand scheme of things, it's pretty darned minor. As was said, some decent epoxy (or JB Weld if you want to be absolutely sure) should hold it on there pretty much forever.
iROK, I was looking at those before, any pics of them attached? I'd considered replacing them (thought it really isn't a big deal) and was surprised when I found that was the only interior piece that wasn't readily available in aluminum. Especially since it's the one piece that would actually benefit from it.

I havent looked too deeply for this item in billet, but have yet to see it in any magazine ad. Just really surprised me that no replacement was out there. Obviously there is, since a couple guys have them.
