Free WHP and mostly unknown computer tricks for 05+ Mustangs
#111
Holy thread resurrection, Batman . . . hope I didn't address this before . . .
Why would you want to remove it? If it's something buried deep enough to not show up on a scanner or tuner I wouldn't expect a state inspection scanner to find it either.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if this little tweak, the FRPP tune, the 2008 Bullitt model tune, and the basic 2010 tune are all basically the same thing, perhaps with minute individual tweaks. Should make questions of legality moot if that's your concern.
Then again, OP didn't mention whether this tweak was "permanent" or only applicable for one drive cycle. I have the FRPP tune so it doesn't sound like I'd gain anything by doing it even if it did permanently set the more aggressive tune, but I am curious.
